Nationwide Small Business Web Design
Washington Small Business Web Design
Websites for new and growing businesses across Washington State, built by a US-owned company based in Baltimore, Maryland. Websites That Rank, Book, and Get Paid.
Washington is two very different markets for a small business. West of the Cascades, the Seattle and Tacoma area is crowded with agencies, tech companies and national brands bidding for the same searches. East of the mountains, in Spokane, the Tri-Cities and Yakima, competition is lighter but customers still decide who to call based on what they find online. A website built for one doesn’t automatically work for the other.
We build websites for Washington small businesses from our office in Baltimore, Maryland. You work directly with one of the lead developers building your site, by phone, video call and email, and the price is fixed in writing before anything starts. Our web design services for small business work the same way in every state; this page covers what’s different about Washington.
Just Formed a Washington LLC? What Comes Next
Filing your Certificate of Formation with the Secretary of State starts the clock on a few follow-ups. Here’s what most new Washington businesses deal with in the first year, as of October 2026. Confirm the details for your situation with the state or your accountant.
Initial Report Within 120 Days
Washington asks new LLCs for an Initial Report within 120 days of formation. It's free when filed with your Certificate of Formation and $10 when filed separately.
State Business License
Most businesses also need a Washington business license through the Department of Revenue's Business Licensing Service. A new license is $50, and many cities add their own endorsement on top.
Annual Report
Each year, by the end of the month your LLC was formed, you file an annual report with the Secretary of State. The fee is $70, and you can file up to 180 days early.
B&O Tax
Washington has no state income tax, but it does have the Business & Occupation tax, which is based on gross receipts rather than profit. Your accountant will want your revenue tracked cleanly from day one.
One detail worth knowing: Washington publishes business records, including contact details, as a public data download that anyone can use. If the email or phone number on your filings is a personal one, it’s effectively public. Setting up a business email at your own domain before you file keeps your personal contact details off that list. Every site we build includes business email at your domain, set up for you.
Winning Local Searches in Washington
In the Seattle area, a small business rarely wins a broad search like “Seattle landscaping” against companies with years of reviews and big budgets. It can win the searches closer to home: a specific neighborhood, a suburb like Kent, Renton or Lynnwood, or a specific service that larger competitors lump into one page. We build a page for each of those with content written about that place and that service, so Google has a clear reason to show you.
Outside the Puget Sound, the opportunity is different. In Spokane, Yakima or Bellingham, a business with a fast, well-organized site and a complete Google Business Profile can often reach the top of local results much faster, simply because fewer competitors have done the work. Either way, the foundation is the same: clear pages, a quick site on a phone, consistent business details everywhere online, and real reviews.
Many Washington customers also expect to act online rather than call, especially for anything they’d book or order after hours. A site that takes a booking, a quote request or a deposit at 9 p.m. catches customers that a phone-only business misses.
What Your Washington Website Includes
Every build includes your domain registered in your business’s name, business email at that domain, a fast mobile-first design, on-page SEO written for the searches your customers make, and Google Analytics. From the Launch Site up, we add Search Console and help with your Google Business Profile, and our larger builds include full Business Profile setup. You own the finished site and every account. Builds start at $549 for a Starter Site, and every build level is on our pricing page.
Proof From Outside Maryland
Restrooms on The Go is a South Florida business whose new West Palm Beach location went from zero to #1 on Google for “porta potty rentals west palm beach,” with the site built from Baltimore. Our other case studies, Baltimore Courier Co. and The Maryland Drone Company, also rank #1 for their main searches. Read how each was built on our portfolio.
Frequently Asked Questions
You're on the East Coast. How Does the Time Difference Work?
Our phones are answered 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, which is 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific, plus 8 a.m. to noon Eastern (5 to 9 a.m. Pacific) on Saturday. Most Washington clients schedule calls in the morning and send everything else by email, which we answer whenever it arrives.
How Soon After Forming My LLC Should I Build a Website?
Before your business license application, ideally. Having your domain and business email in place means the contact information you give the state, your bank and your customers matches from the start.
Can You Help Me Show Up in Seattle Searches?
Seattle is one of the most competitive search markets in the country, so we focus on what a small business can actually win: your specific neighborhoods and suburbs, the services you offer, and a complete Google Business Profile for map results. We submit your site to Google the day it launches, and it's built the same way as our own sites that rank #1. Give us the time and we'll get you to page one for your local searches: stay on a Maintenance & Hosting Plan and we keep working on it until you're there.
Do You Charge Washington Businesses More?
No. Our prices are the same in every state and fixed in writing before work begins. Small business websites start at $549 for a Starter Site.
Can My Website Take Bookings or Payments?
Yes. Booking, quote requests, deposits and online payments can be built into the site and sent to your inbox or phone, so a customer in Spokane can book at 9 p.m. without waiting for business hours.
